Convert to PDF icon in IE7 greyed out on certain websites

One of my colleagues is running XP Pro and using Acrobat 8 Standard. Certain websites are not giving her the option to convert to pdf because the icon in the toolbar is greyed out. I've attempted to right click on the web page and select convert to pdf and it converts it, but it converts it into an illegible format (i.e. the content is not there).

I am able to convert the websites in question to pdf on my own workstation using Acrobat 7 Pro. This confirms that the website is not the issue.

Any ideas?

Couple of things you can try:
1. Try pressing Esc. If the IE add-in is confused that the page download is not complete, pressing Esc might help.
2. Copy the URL and convert from within Acrobat - Create PDF-> From web page

Tried both. The ESC method does nothing and creating it from Acrobat only makes the PDF illegible.
