Our office was scanning documents and saving them as PDF files. But we were NOT making them "text searchable" (recognize text using OCR).
Now our customer wants them "text searchable".
Is there some way we can convert regular PDF files (already scanned) to OCR "text searchable"?
Thanks for your time,
Don
Yes you can. Open the file, choose Document > OCR Text Recognition > Recognize Text Using OCR. The content of the file is then captured. There are several different OCR methods available. You can choose the options before the file content is captured.
If you have a lot of files to convert, build a batch file. Choose Advanced > Document Processing > Batch Processing and follow the prompts in the series of dialog boxes, choosing the Recognize Text Using OCR as the selected command.donna.
