converting word to pdf

Hello Im running windows xp pro and MS office 2003...

When I try to convert or try to open a MS word file in adobe, it starts the process and then it locks up on NOW PRINTING PAGE 1...

Any ideals?

Acrobat Standard 7.0.7, Windows

You can not open a Word file in PDF. It has to be converted to PDF with the PDF conversion button in Word. Try running the Repair Acrobat Installation and check to see if you have the PDF conversion icon on your MS Word menu bar. You may have to enable the macro for PDF conversion in MS Word.

I tried to do a repair and it still dont work. this is a brand new machine DELL and Im using MS word 2003 with adobe 7 acrobat....

Before when I used office 2002 winxp there wasnt no issues....

It wants to HANG on the print notification process part..untill it freezes
