I am trying to create a PDF from Microsoft Word. Each time I try I receive this specific error: "The instruction at '0x00441ae2' referenced memory at '0x0227ebdc'. The memory could not be 'read'." I was able to create them before, but not any longer. How can I correct his problem?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 7.0.7, Windows

First try to repair the Acrobat Installation (Help > Repair Acrobat Installation) and see if that fixes the PDFMaker. If not, you might try a deinstall/reinstall. If the problem persists, you might want to contact Adobe Technical Support. Could be a bug.ted

Had Adobe Prof v7 for a couple of years. I just started getting acrodist.exe - application error: The instruction at xxxxxx referenced memory at xxxxxxx. The memory could not be "read". Did a system restore from a couple of weeks ago. Didn't help. Downloaded the Adobe Prof 7.1 upgrade, didn't help either. How do I get rid of this? I cannot create any .pfd files now.

Am having same problems, started about same time frame. Attempted to repair, uninstall and reinstall, update without success. Addresses in error message merely changed;AcroDist.exe – Application Error
The instruction at “0x0045c9e5” referenced memory at “0x01e5ebdc”. The memory could not be “read”. Click on OK to terminate the program.
This also hangs up the program I am in whether it is a Office module or web browser. Ran Acrobat Distiller to convert a file and generated error message log. Output was: Start Time: Thursday, March 04, 2010 at 15:15:36
Source: AcroDist Error.doc
Destination: C:\Documents and Settings\(omitted*****************by me)\My Documents\Computer\Adobe\AcroDist Error.pdf
Adobe PDF Settings: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Adobe PDF\Settings\Standard.joboptions
%%[ Error: undefined; OffendingCommand: ÐÏ_ࡱ_á ]%%
%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%
Distill Time: 0 seconds (00:00:00)

Actually you need not use Acrobat to convert word as PDF. If you use MS Office 2007. A plug-in named Office 2007 Add-in can help you easily save word to PDF. Also. some free PDF Creators can also works well.

I will try my best to help you in PDF converison fields, objectively and Neutral.

I have a Word 2007 document that I am attempting to convert to pdf, but the document will not convert. It tries to convert and then renames the file PdM85.tmp. (The number in the file name changes each time I try to convert.)

I also saved the document back to an older version of word and the same problem.

Any idea how to reslove this problem?

Can you post a sample document?

Have you tired setting the option in distiller to retain the log on failure?

Have you tried Microsoft's add on 'Save as PDF'?

Have you made sure you have all the updates to MS Office and Acrobat applied?
