I have created two pdfs from Word, and set up destinations in the second (target) document. I have linked to these from the first pdf document using the link tool. The links work fine on the network on which I prepared the documents. Off this network (but with the same folder structure), the destinations do not appear to work, and the links go to the first page of the target document, not to the specific destinations. Help on this would be much appreciated.
Can you provide more detail on what version of Acrobat, OS, and Browser you are using? Do the destinations not work correctly while in a browser or just within Acrobat? Also, what is the action associated with your links?
You may be experiencing a problem associated with the integration path between Microsoft IE and Acrobat 7.0. If you use URLS containing local hard drive addresses (c:\folder\), then you cannot link to page numbers or set destinations. With Adobe Acrobat 7.0 products, a link to a page number only works if you use HTTP or HTTPS locations.
Let us know if this is the issue.
Thanks,
Lori
