Displaying links as thumbnails of the target linked web address

Thanks, Ted, for suggesting I make custom buttons whose face is a thumbnail of the target page to which the button is linked. I am afraid I was looking for something a little less laborious. To clarify, what happens is that every Monday, I am e-mailed 16 operations reports. I have >no< control over the format but thankfully I can usually count on Acrobat to be able to convert them to PDF. Almost all have links to web pages. I use Acrobat's ability to convert all the e-mail messages (even those with attachments!) in a folder into a single PDF. It does this fine -- including turning the links in the original e-mails into links in the PDF. What I would like is to be able to have it place thumbnail images of the target linked pages into the PDF it makes instead of the underlined blue text. Alternatively, perhaps it is possible with Reader V8 to have the Reader display the links as thumbnails of the target linked documents. Is that possible?

Nope, not possible as part of the conversion process, or somthing that Reader will do. However, if you are using Acrobat Professional you could write a Folder Level Script to create the buttons and thumbnails. This is a post-processing script that would run after conversion.
