Excel graph does not convert

I have used Acrobat 7 Professional for a little over a year now to convert an Excel graph and report to pdf for distribution to the management team. I upgraded to Adobe 8 Professional and it now converts the graph into something that is not recognizable. I have tried doing it every way I could think of and it always comes out the same. Has anyone run into this problem?

How are you doing the conversion? File | Print or PDFMaker Macro (Toolbar buttons)?

Also, what version of Excel are you working with? Have you tried upgrading to A8.1? Did that help, hurt, no difference?
