We have a product which creates a PDF document and in some situations the PDF document's first page is blank. After that the remaining document is correct. It should be a single page document that is eventually e-mailed.
This situation occurs when Acrobat 8 or 9 is installed. Mostly seen in Windows XP but that may not be true in all situations.
Is there an Acrobat setting that will tell the PDF printer to create a blank page or a header?
I will admit it's a very strange situation. Most of the users who experience this situation are remote users and trying to replicate in a test environment has been troublesome.
Any insight will be appreciated.
Assuming the latter, no there is no setting in the PostScript driver or in the Distiller or even the Distiller's .joboption files to create blank pages or a header. Whatever PostScript is generated by the Windows PSCRIPT5 driver based on the application program's GDI is the source of the PDF.
Nor have we previously heard of such a problem here at Adobe.
