Headers not properly converted from Microsoft Word to PDF

I hope this is the right place where to post my message...
I am trying to convert a couple of Microsoft Word documents into PDF but I am having troubles with headers.
In particular it seems that only images/logos are taken into account while the text is skipped. Headers are made up of one row table with four columns.
A strange thing is that in one of the documents the last 2 pages headers are converted properly...
Any suggestion?
Thanks
Andrea

I have just tried to generate the PDF documents by printing them on the Adobe PDF printer and headers seem to be OK. In the previous attempt I just clicked on the "Convert to Adobe PDF" button in the tool bar.
The only problem with this type of conversion is that bookmarks and cross references are lost...
