I need to copy word docs into a specific folder location and use Distiller 'file watch' to initate the conversion to pdf and send it to another folder location. From what I have read about Distiller, I need to make the file a 'postscript' file first. Maybe that is where I am failing. I have been renaming my filename.doc to filename.ps then trying to use Distiller for the conversion and I get errors. How do I make the word doc a post script file correctly?
I support an Access application that actually creates some word docs and my users want to be able to 'click a button' and have these word docs converted to pdf. They do not want to go into each doc and do it manually. For this, I thought Distiller would be the way to go.
I have Adobe Pro 8, running MS Office 2000 on Windows XP. This is the first time I have used Adobe.
HELP!!!
