Hi. I have a word document with a lot of embeded color images. I want them to stay that way, but when I run acrobat from inside word to create a .pdf file, they come out in greyscale instead of remaining color.

I've looked all over and I can't figure out what is causing this. Assistance would be very much appreciated.

My version of Word is 2003
My version of Acrobat is 8.1 pro

Hi Crystalwizard,

This is strange since there is no setting inside Acrobat to convert to grey when making the PDF file? What are the sources of these images - are they regular JPEGs from a camera or from another source?
As a test, you might want to click on the PDF icon inside the Word toolbar and then see if this does make a difference - there are quite a few ways to generate a PDF?

Actually, I figured out what I was doing, I just neglected to come back in here and post. I had the printer prefrences for the adobe printer set to black and white only instead of color.

Control panel -> printers -> adobe pdf -> right click -> printer prefrences -> and on one of the tabs you can check black and white or color. I had black and white checked by mistake. changed that and adobe stopped turning all my files into greyscale.
