Hello
Im really not that familiar with PDFs but just today I got a big pack of plans and manuals for my job in PDF format, these are not meant to be printed but viewed in the monitor, thats why I posted here and not in the Printing forum. Anyway, all these files are scans, but the original scan is a bit faint and its hard to read onscreen. I tried opening a PDF with Photoshop and it works but it can open only one page at a time. I did some adjustments and now the page looks better (not MUCH better but still) afterwards I tried to save but it wanted to save Photoshop format instead of the original fileĀ“s format, plus it was almost twice the size of the original file. So my problem is that I have over 50 documents with over 30 pages each that have to be "corrected" so i dont burn my eyes out, but how can I do it in a more efficent way? I only have Reader in this PC but a friend of mine has Acrobat, so I coulkd go there to convert the files if possible. Any assiatance its more than welcome

You've got images of text, so you'll have to go through some kind of OCR process.

This company has some interesting products that might help:

Hi

What you could try is run a batch command in acrobat and choose run OCR, click edit and choose formatted text and graphics (if you are using acrobat 8) if your friend has Pro 9, choose clear scan. This will create a live image of the scanned doc and make it pure black

Unfortunately it is not possible in Reader but you can do it in Pro

Hope this helps?
