How remove URL from saved file name

pdfs created from htm web pages have the url prepended to the file name by default. Where do I access this behaviour so that I can change it? The problem is I am converting a bunch of .htm files I've saved to local disk, so all the pdfs have this huge local path prepended to the source file name. Thanks in advance. -- Roy Zider

The name appearing at the top of the Acrobat window is the file name. You can edit the name of the saved file on your desktop or you can add a Title field and use the title as the name that appears at the top of the Acrobat window. Choose File > Properties and click the Description tab. Type a name you want to use for the title of your document in the Title field. Next, click the Initial View tab and from the Show drop down menu choose Document Title. Save the file and when you reopen it, the document title will be shown at the top of the Acrobat window.ted

Thank you for your considerate response. But I'm trying to avoid having to manually edit the file name, quite obviously. Where can I suppress the default file-naming convention in AA8 that automatically prepends the URL to the file name in the first place?

Hi Roy,

I'm sorry but I don't know the answer. You don't have an option in the HTML conversion settings. You might want to check out some user forums and see if a workaround has been posted by someone.
