I am having trouble trying to bypass the "incorrect structure of pdf" error. I am currently using Adobe Acrobat and have created an interactive form. However, when the answers are send back to me from survey takers, the original form is sent back to me in a FPF. I tried to export the form into xml (to then be placed into Excel) but the error message appears. Anyone have any suggestions?

FDF (Forms Data Format) is automatically sent back when you choose a mailto: as your submit option. You can bring this data into Excel by choosing in Acrobat 10

Tools (right side of the screen)
Forms > More Form Options > Manage Form Data > Merge Data Files into Spreadsheet
Click Add Files (browse to your returned FDF)
Click Export

This creates a csv (Comma Separated Value) that any database on the planet can read and Excel can natively open.
