Is it possible to update a PDF through Word?

What I mean is, once I have created a Word document and converted it to a PDF, if I were to find any errors later on or need to make any changes, can I simply update it without having to make the changes in Word and reconvert it?

The reason I ask is because when I imported the document from Word to Acrobat 9 Pro, I created a lot of links in Acrobat 9 Pro and the only way I know of for editing right now is to edit the document in Word and reconvert it, but that means I lose all the links I created.

Thanks.

EDIT: I decided to create the links in Word because Acrobat 9 Pro seems to recognize them fine so making fixes are a lot easier now.

Word can not edit PDFs!

You can make links in Word, but you will need to use PDF Maker, not MicroSorft's "Save as PDF", to convert the hyperlinks in Word into PDF hyperlinks. You wil lhave to enable the PDF Maker plugin in Word or MS Office. You will also need to set the conversion settings to create links and what Word docuemnt structures you want converted to llinks or bookmarks.
