I updated my Acrobat Professional to 8.1 this morning. Now it does not let me convert emails anymore.
In Microdoft Outlook when I highlight the email and then click on the "Create Adobe PDF from teh selected Messages" the dialog box finally has the message "item failed to convert".
Please advise. I use this feature often and would like to get it fixed.

Here is the report I get when I try to convert:

Requested: 1,
Converted to PDF: 0,
Skipped [Already in PDF]: 0,
Skipped [PDFMaker failed to convert]: 1

Details of Email to PDF conversion:
Failed to Convert:
From: XXXXXXX, Subject: Project Status, Date: 3/3/2008, Status: Item failed to convert

Somebody please help!

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 8.1.2, Windows

This has happened to me a couple of times, and it seems to clear itself up if I reboot my computer.

I have of course rebooted the computer many times since I posted. I also tried pretty much every day to convert emails - with no success. This is a permanent problem that started after updating. I still hope somebody has a solution?

Does this happen with all your mailboxes or one in peticular? Is Cached Exchange Mode ON in your Outlook setup (Tools > Account Settings > Change)? If not, try turning it on to see if it corrects the problem.

Ikassuba,
the Cached Exchange Mode is turned on (Microsoft Outlook) and it happens in all folders/mailboxes. Before the update I could convert any message in any folder. I have not made any changes to Microsoft Outlook.

I would try a Detect and Repair to see if it corrects the problem.

Did you run the Detect and Repair in Outlook or Acrobat?

EXCELLENT! I've been looking to fix this problem for a good while!

BTW - under Acrobat 8.1.3 at least, the option is called "Repair Acrobat Installation"

Thanks!
