I recently both a mac and acrobat professional 8.0 does not seem to recognise my scanner (LIDE 30). I cannot create PDF documents directly from my scanner.

I installed the mac driver available on canon's website and the scanner works fine with other applications...

Is there a solution to my problem ?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 8.1.1, Macintosh

Is your scan driver a Univeral Binary TWAIN? You can check by doing the following:
1. In Finder, go to Library > Image Capture > TWAIN Data Sources.
2. Select the scanner driver.
3. Ctrl-click and select Get Info.
4. Check the Kind property. It will read Package (PowerPC) or Package (Universal).

You'll need the Package (Univeral) driver for it to work with Acrobat 8.
