Hi,

Hopefully someone can help.

I am using mail merge in MS word linked to an excel spreadsheet and everything works well. However, is there a way to mail merge to pdf to a custom name rather than having the output as pdfmailer_001?

Or are there alternatives?

Hi

I am trying the same by using a merged field as the name of the output pdf file, thus creating a seperate pdf file for each of my records (approx 10 pages of info linked to one record)

Did you get a solution? as the one I found on microsoft site does not do it the way I want it and loses the page formating.

I found a plug in called AutoMailMerge Plug-in 1.6, available at :

There is a download sample available. I think this allows you to incorporate a merge field into the naming convention, but appears to require that you start with a pdf form, not a msword doc.

I have a need similar to yours, but instead of file name, I'd like to incorporate a merge field into the subject line and body of message. There are plugin programs to do this in MS Word, but I have not found one for this particular scenario where I am starting with a MS Word mail merge.
