missing job options when converting FrameMaker files

FrameMaker 7.1
Acrobat 7.0 Professional

We have created our own custom job options/Adobe PDF settings, and have saved them in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Distillr\Settings along with the default settings. I can choose these settings when I select File>Print Setup>Properties... These options appear in the Default Settings drop-down menu. But when I select File>Print>Print Document>PDF Setup... I have only one option. And when I choose that option and click Set, I get a message "The selected PDF Job Option does not exist in the current installation. Either create this Job Option or select an available Job Option. Continue?" I click OK and nothing happens.

How can I fix this problem? I need to use specific job options for print and for onscreen.

Acrobat Pro 7.0, Windows

Hi kuzcolike,
Something to try.
In XP, put custom job options here:
C:\Documents and Settings\Application Data\Adobe\Adobe PDF\Settings\
In Vista, put custom job options here:
C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\Adobe PDF\Settings\
n.b., folder "AppData" may be a hidden folder.
To show: Open Windows Explorer > select folder > Organize > Folder and Search Options >
select View tab > select Show hidden files and foldersMake Adobe Distiller your default printer.

Access the Printer(s) dialog. Select Adobe PDF, right click, select Properties from the context menu.
On the General tab, click Printing Preferences..., select desired Job Option from the drop down menu for
"Default Settings:" (& make any other desired selections). Click Apply, click OK.
Now select the Advanced tab. Click on Printing Defaults...
Again, configure the dialog as desired (it might not be the same as the first dialog configured above).

Be well...

Be well...

Hi daka630,

Thank you for the prompt response. I confess that I didn't try your suggestion. Instead, a co-worker wisely suggested that I just uninstall and reinstall the software. I did, and the problem was fixed: all my job options reappeared. So I'm sorry, but I didn't try your method. But I do thank you for your help.
