Hello,

Every time I try to print something from a web site my computer freezes and I have to restart it. The Adobe PDF printer works fine with all the office applications, the problem is "only" with websites.
The problem occurred after I installed Acrobat 8.0 Standard version 8.1.7 on my new Vista 64-bit home premium SP2 machine. All updates are installed, I did the "Repair Acrobat Installation" but it won't print.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance, Marion

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard 8.1.7, Windows

Sorry I forgot. I'm using Firefox 3.5.5, all updates installed.

Same with me
I use IE I got this error

(i) For your computer's security, this file was saved to the temporary internet files folder.

Do you want to open this folder?

But when you open this folder
C:\Users\%user-name%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Virtualized

the folder is empty.

Have you tried clearing your browser cache?

Is this an external site that you can post a URL to?

Yer, I cleared the browser cache and it is the same. My computer freezes and I have to restart it.

Sorry, I'm not sure what your second question means (English is not my first language).

Can you post the URL where you experience this problem?

The problem occurs on EVERY website, it doesn't matter what I want to print. I can go with the print button or open a printer friendly page, none is printing.
I choose the Adobe PDF printer from the list and press print. Then it starts to "load", for hours if I don't restart my computer via task manager. There appears a window in the background with "save file to" but I can not access this window.

Do you have the following set under Control Panel > Printers > Edit the properties on the Adobe PDF Printer:
1. Under the Ports tab it should be set to Documents\*.pdf or Documents\*.pdf
2. Under the Advanced tab, select "Print Directly to Printer".
