clients send me word documents to create pdf docs for filing on sedar (www.sedar.com). Often they have logos, letterhead and other pictures in their document that will not show up in pdf. sometimes by reformatting the picture I can cause it to print in the pdf document. Where can I find a comprehensive discussion of what will and will not print to a pdf, or why some things do or do not print?
Second: I bought Standard. Should I upgrade to PRO, and if so, how do I do that? I have tried a couple of times, but it seems to want to charge me full price again, not the difference.
Sometimes logos are actually system fonts and letterhead and pictures are links to graphic files on a system. When these files are sent to you the connection to the links is broken. Do all of these documents print out correctly? The PDF should appear exactly as thought it would print but if they're not printing correctly because not all the information is in the file and a correspondingly complete PDF cannot be made.
As to your second question, you do not need Pro to convert Word documents; however if you do want upgrade there is an upgrade path from Std. 8 to Pro. 8., which is the standard upgrade price.
Hope this helps,
Lori
