Hello,
I have created an Interactive PDF from a 110 page InDesign (CS5) doc .
I'm sure I can reduce the filesize down from 6.4MB it has ten really small images and an EPS logo on every page (it only has a few internal anchor links as interactivity.
When I go to Save As... PDF Optimizer in Acrobat X Pro – reducing the image size does not significantly reduce the file size. So I think there must be something else that is in there causing the large size.
In the Audit Space Usage I have Document Overhead at nearly 80% whereas images are 6%.
What is Document Overhead? What settings can I do to reduce it in Optimized PDF?
The Document Overhead is User & Application data in the file. You can use the PDF Optimizer, check the Disgard User Data Panel and check Disgard Private Data.
Discard Private Data Of Other Applications Strips information from a PDF document that is useful only to the application that created the document. This does not affect the functionality of the PDF, but it does decrease the file size.
