Scanning a document into Acrobat Pro 9

Today I received an e-mail from Adobe, telling me how to scan a page into Acrobat. The screen dumps in the e-mail are obviously from a Windows machine but I'm on a Mac. There *is* a Create PDF from Scanner option but in the popup menu for "Please select a device" there are no devices listed.

I have the current Epson driver installed (for my 5800F all-in-one) and can scan using the Epson scan application or using Import in Photoshop CS but understand there is no TWAIN acquire for PS CS4 - very disappointing.

Is it possible that this cannot be done on a Mac (brand new MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard)? If it IS possible, would someone please tell me how I can get Acrobat to recognize my scanner? I'm not a new Mac user (got my first one in 1986!) and have poked around everywhere I can think of but cannot figure out how to get Acrobat to do this.

TIA!

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 9.0, Macintosh

Hi, savladai,

I'm in the exact same situation: MBP and Brother networked scanner. I too can scan using System Preferences > Print & Fax > Brother MFC-8860DN > Scan
But I can't select this very same scanner from within Acrobat Pro.

Have you solved this on your side?

Best regards,

Erwin
