Scanning to PDF

Hello all. Whenever I try to scan a document directly to Acrobat 9, only the first page comes out. The other pages are either blank or have grayish lines running the length of them. It does not matter if I scan 2 pages or 50 pages, only the first scans properly. It is definitely not the scanner, as scanning to every other program works fine. It is just to Acrobat 9.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Acrobat Pro 9.0

Which scanner? What OS?
Try updating the scanner drivers from manufacturer's web site.

I have a Visioneer Strobe XP 450 and I am using Windows XP. I will try updating the driver as suggested. Thank you.

Try scanning with transfer mode as "memory". Create PDF>From Scanner>Custom Scan. Click options button next to the scanner to see this option.(corrected: use memory mode, by default you should have "native" mode selected)

I have an HP Photosmart C7280 All-in-One with a document feeder. My Acrobat version is 9.4. If I scan a seriees of documents I get some that are trunkated... or put another way, my 81/2 by 11 page scans the middle of the page or a right or left column. I thought it was the document feeder, so I tried it one page at a time (veryy long process!) with the same results. This is one problem. I will post something different for the OCR not getting it all that right.
Oh, I am running XP Pro service pack 3.

thanks all.......

I am having issues with scan to pdf function. I have Acrobat 9.0 (9.4 now). I was running Vitsa, and the scan to pdf function refused to work. Once you selected scan to pdf, selected b and w, it would cause ACrobat to stop working and shut down. I upgraded to Windows 7, and it fixed it, working perfectly - now suddenly the same issue. I can not scan to pdf!!! Again causing Acrobat to shut down....................

I am having the same problem, except I'm using a Samsung Multi-function printer. It worked the first day I upgraded to Windows 7 and hasn't worked since. I have updated all drivers on my printer. Adobe are you listening?? This appears to be an ongoing problem.

I am running Acrobat 9 Pro for Mac on my MacBookPro. When prompted to create a PDF by scanning from my Brother MFC-6490CW, the Select Scanner drop down is empty.

How do I fix this?

Many thanks,

Ok, so my problem is not resolved: "If I scan a seriees of documents I get some that are trunkated... or put another way, my 81/2 by 11 page scans the middle of the page or a right or left column. I thought it was the document feeder, so I tried it one page at a time (very long process!) with the same results."

I am Still running a XPPro ver 5.1 build 2600... service pak 3. The All-in-one is an HP c7280... I am using the memory vs native setting.

I am a "rookie" at generating PDFs (have done so at work, but not at home). I need some guidance on 2 things: 1.) What Adobe s/w do I need to purchase to generate PDFs from my scanner? 2.) Are there any special considerations I need to keep in mind to scan directly from my Brother MFC-9320 Scanner/Copier/Fax/Printer to my Desktop (running Windows 7)?
