Skip or disable pre-scan

I don't want to have my scanner to execute a pre scan, because defaults settings are OK. I'm using Acrobat 7. How to skip or disable the pre scan? I run XP Pro with a Canon scanner DR-502 supporting TWAIN. In my case, pre scan is not necessary and just slow my process. How to resolve this problem???

Hi maxj,

Acrobat 7 calls your scanner through the TWAIN interface, which executes the pre-scan. "If" it is possible to disable the pre-scan then this setting would be associated with your scanner not within Acrobat.
