We create PDF from oracle 6i forms, the pdf will be automatically created and will be popped up.
But now its showing the error ' Adobe reader could not open 'abcd.pdf' because its either not a supported file type or because the file has been corrupted'.

Kindly assist in how to solve this error.

Hi jram183,

Since the PDF is not being created by Acrobat, it is probably best to ask the Support team at Oracle that does create it why it is not openable by Adobe Reader. In the past Adobe was very forgiving of malformed PDFs and Acrobat and Adobe Reader would open them anyway. Adobe has gotten stricter and stricter that all PDFs must be compliant with the official PDF Spec with each new version of Acrobat and Adobe Reader released. Many thrid party PDF creators do not comply with the PDF Spec so you get a corruption error message.

Hope this helps,

Dimitri
