anyone know why when i print from a CAD program, Omega Composer, to adobe acrobat pro. v8 some times there are missing letters in words and missing pieces of the design. However, when i close the CAD file and reopen it and print again and overwrite the pdf it works fine. any help will be appreciated!

Sometimes the origins of these issues are associated with how your CAD program actually prints content (i.e., is the text really vectors or actually fonts). You might try printing your CAD file to Postscipt and running it through Distiller to see if the results are better.

Select a Postscript printer from your Print menu and then you should see a checkbox in the print dialog to "Print to File".
