Acrobat X Portfolio Page Numbers

I created a PDF Portfolio using Acrobat 9. When I view the Portfolio in REader 9, I can double click on an individual PDF file and open the preview. At the top of the preview is a tool bar that allows me to type in and jump to any page within that PDF file. When I open the Portfolio and then preview a specific PDF file in Acrobat X or Reader X, this tool bar is missing and I am forced to scroll through each page to reach the page number I want to see. Is there some way to restore the tool bar so that i can type the page number in again?

The previews in Acrobat/Reader X use Read Mode, so you get the black HUD navigator but nothing else - the main toolbar remains in Portfolio mode throughout.

If you want to jump to a page by number within a preview, you can press Shift-Ctrl-N and type it into the dialog box.

To get into the document "properly" and see the normal toolbars, you have to open the file either by clicking the "Open File" button on the right, or using the right-click menu when hovering on a card. Double-clicking no longer opens the file, it simply enlarges the preview. You cannot control the presence of the HUD.

So, they completely removed the HUD from the Reader X preview, but as long as I use Reader 9 it will still be there....hmmm.....

Is there a way to change the double click so that it will open the actual file in reader X rather than what it does now by default?

I am creating a Catalog with multiple PDF files and need it to be as simple as I can for people who are computer illiterate.
