Linking PDFs

I would like to learn how to create links in a PDF that jump to locations in a separate PDF. Specifically, I am trying add multiple PDF files onto a CD. I want the PDFs to link to each other, to specific pages within a document. Can anyone direct me to the features that I would need to research to accomplish this?

One of the PDFs on the disk would be a compilation of other PDFs. Also once a link is clicked I would need a way to go back to the original document at the last page viewed.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 8.0, Windows

Adobe is ending it's support for Acrobat 8, so you may want to look into the PDF Portfolios feature in Acrobat 10:

That being said, you can use the Link tool, or the button tool (part of the forms tools) in Acrobat to link to another PDF file and to specific pages or zoom levels. Linking from a main PDF, you can make a close action for all documents that are linked, so that when a PDF is closed it always opens your original PDF (the one that opened the links). These things can be done in Acrobat 8, but PDF Portfolios might be an easier, more elegant way to accomplish this.

Acrobat 8 allows "PDF Packages" creation, which are close to Portfolio.
