Till early this year I was working with Acrobat 8.0 Pro and with this program I made packages (combine PDF) of hundreds of separate PDF files. These separate PDF files were mostly originally Jpeg files converted to PDF and foreseen of several keywords which made it very easy to search the whole package on basis of keywords...
Now having installed Acrobat 9.0 Pro extended...there is no more question of packages but Portfolios...When searching the whole portfolio on basis of previous installed keywords (see before) the program doesnot find anything except the file name of separate PDF files..
Who can help ?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro Extended 9.0, Windows

Having several individual pdf files with separate metadata (keywords) I now want to assemble these files into a portfolio. However when searching on basis of the previous individual keywords in the portfolio, the result is nihil.
What can be the cause of this ?

A simple document search does not include metadata; however, if you search across multiple PDFs or do a web search then you can locate document metadata. In the Search menu, try selecting "All PDF documents in ..." and the select "Use Advanced Search Options" from the bottom of the dialog menu to locate metadata. Keywords can be selected under the pulldown for "Use these additional criteria:"

To search on PDF Portofolio metadata, you'll need to copy the individual PDF metadata to the Portfolio. Joel Geraci has a utility to do this located on his blog.
