2up in Document, not output

Hello I'm trying to edit my PDF so that instead of having to select the 2 up option in the printing menu, It can be set in the document itself. Is there a way to accomplish this? I do this quite frequently and would like it to be sort of low labor intensive without having to go back into each file and re lay them out. Most of the time these are documents that are originally 8x10 but I'd like to canvas them 2up... that way in the end I can do one stack cut.

So what's important to note is that the first page of the edited document should have page 1 of the native file showing twice on the same page.

I hope that makes sense.

Please help.

Hi,

I don't think you can do that with Acrobat, we have a specific tool for doing such things PDFnUP, A trial is available on our website: http://www.traction-software.co.uk/servertools/pdfnup

command line to do what you require is:
pdfnup example.pdf out-example-ab-duplicate.pdf -ab -duplicate

If you need any further help then email us.
