Adobe X Pro Printing and Scanning Issues

I placed this on another thread not realizing it was from 2007. So I started my own. We upgraded all of our PC's to Adobe X Pro. When we did we immediately had issues scanning and when we did get a scan we could not print it, nor could anyone else. The error message is printed below.

We have HP OfficeJet Pro 8500A Plus all in ones.

We finally got fed up, uninstalled Adobe X and reinstalled Adobe 9 Pro. Everything works fine unless we get a scan from someone that scanned in Adobe X!

We have this issue on 2 PC's running Windows 7.

1. Printing progress bar begins and then accelerates, stopping at 20%.
2. Dialog: "Document could not be printed." I click ok.
3. Dialog: "There were no pages selected to print." I click ok.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 10.1, Windows

Acrobat 10.1.1 fixes a bug in the Custom Scan dialog, make sure you are up to date. The printing issue may be related to Network printers that are no longer active. Acrobat 10 polls all installed printers to make sure they are available before sending the print job. Can you delete any un-used printers?
