Hi,

have a large set of colour pdfs I need to convert to grayscale.

Is there any way of doing this/does anyone know a javascript to include in the custom batch sequence?

I've also tried using Automator on the mac to record the action, but can't edit the script to amend different files, so any help gratefully received.

Many thanks

Hi,
Use Batch Processing under the Advanced/Document Processing menu item. Create a new Batch Process, then select "Preflight" from the list of available selections. Click the Edit button, and in the dialog box, select convert to grayscale. Choose whether you want the files moved to a new location, etc, and hit Save, then click OK.

To run the sequence you created, select it and click "Run Sequence".

Just noticed this doesn't work for any PDFs with fields - but apart from that, great help...

I have been using this process and have found that my grays are increasing by about 5%. [20% black will increases to 25% black] How can we fine tune the level of this percentage?
