Hi, Hoping any experts can help me with what I think is a simple printing question that I just can't seem to figure out.
Let's say I have a powerpoint presentation that I've converted to PDF. Now I want to print the PDF to a printer, where I'm placing two slides (i.e. pages) on one side of a sheet of paper. So, holding the 8.5x11" paper such that the 11" dimension runs up/down (the 8.5" dimension left/right), then I'd see two slides on one side of the paper--one on top half, the other on the bottom half.
I know how to do this so far. However, the next step is my question... how do I scale the size of these two slides so that I can control how large they are? In my application, I'm printing out a hundred pages and then binding them into a book. I need enough room (margin) on the left side of the paper so that the binding doesn't eat into the slides. I find my printer either gives me a margin that's too wide (2.5" margin left/right side of paper) or too small (0.5" margin on left/right side of paper), depending on whether is use the normal print menu or dig into the postscript advanced options. Is the some way I can control the slide size when printing using Adobe professional distiller/reader?
Thanks in advance, -ggk
