When I attempt to print my personalized business card template from a PDF file on to Avery Dennison's ink jet clean edge business cards (product # 8879), the designs are not aligned properly to the cards. Any suggestions? I called Avery, but they referred me to your company.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard 7.0.0, Windows

Hi rgdominique,

What program created the PDF? Word? If so, I would suggest printing from Word because Word will reformat your document based on the printer driver that is selected. So if the Adobe PDF printer wasn't selected when the PDF was created, you'll probably have alignment errors.

Thanks,
Lori

Alternatively you could visit http://business-card.tubeprint.com to create your desired business card online or just to search for inspiration. On that site you could customize the business card and then print it directly on your own printer. try it. it is easy but powerful !!

A couple things I would touch on. One common problem people have when printing from acrobat is "Page Scaling". By default it is set to shrink your document when printing so it doesn't get cut off by the printable area of your printer. This is fine for printing a letter or fax but if you are doing anything that needs to be printed at 100% you need to change the Page Scaling to "None".

Another thing. If you have the Adobe Creative Suite then you have access to the best layout program on earth, InDesign. I can create an InDesign template to match your card layout in 5 min.

The last thing you might want to consider is having them done professionally. Home-made business cards will make even the best business look unprofessional.
