I'm having a problem printing in Acrobat Pro 9.
When I get to the print dialog and hit "Print" it freezes. This has happened enough for me to have experimented a bit.
It seems that SOMETHING is occupying whatever port the printer or Acrobat need to talk to each other.
So here's what I do now: I pull up another app (because Acrobat is frozen) and then go to the apple, and then to force quite. I force quit apps until the Acrobat print dialog frees up and actually prints. It is rarely the same app that does it. Last week for a while I figured out that if I opened and then closed Firefox, the print would resume on the exit. Today it was closing Entourage if it was pen. If it wasn't, then I just opened it and closed it and then off the Acrobat would go.
So now, if I have to print a pdf, I just go around closing and opening things. Or, I say nevermind and open the document in Preview, from which it prints with no problems.
I have already gone round and round with Dell (the printer maker) and a variety of other things. It's definitely NOT the printer or the printer driver.
