First post here, hope someone can help.

Trying to print a PDF which has been created as a large single page as three A4 pages, tried lots of the settings but can only get the document to print as all one page. effectively id like where the booklet is split into three on a page each. The link to the pdf is http://www.norwich.gov.uk/internet_docs/AWC/Calendars/W1-Wed.pdf

Any ideas would be welcome.

Thanks,

You need Acrobat Pro to do that, or a free software as MindCad Tiler : http://www.mindcad.com/tiler.php
(I can't help for Windows, but Google is your friend).

I'm printing 1 page (8.5 x 11) from acrobat as a 2 up 11 x 17.
The spacing is not correct. The images are not 8.5 apart. the distance between the same spot on both images should be 8.5 and it's short by about 3/16.
Anybody run into this problem before?

Yes, it's the "roll-out" of the printer. Minus the margins of the printer a printed line that you spec as being 8 inches probably will not print out as 8 inches long. Take a 11 x 8.5 wide document, place a 10 inch line, say 1 inch thick (72pts) at the center of the document horizontally and vertically. Print it out and measure. It's probably not 10 inches long or 1 inch thick. It's a common problem we had with printing business forms to be shot as a negative. The laser printers we used had a calibration utility to solve the roll-out problem. If you're using an HP/Lexmark/Brother/etc then you're SOL if the line does not measure correctly. If you have a Xante then it may still be possible IF the printer supports it.

Just use Imposing or Quite Imposing.
Great programs.
