I got to the point where I stored the audio file, then created a little box on the pdf that surounds the audio, but can't seem to locate how to add Stop, Play, Pause buttons. I actually found a tab that asks me to click onto a box that says the buttons will appear. I just can't seem to make it happen...please advise! Scott
I had same problem, and couldn't make the buttons appear.
I did workaround by creating fake buttons and adding actions, and solved it as follows -- you have to use both the link tool and teh button tool (I did this on Mac using Acrobat Professional 8.1.2).
It's possible that you can add both teh 'play' and 'stop' actions using button tool, but here's how I did it:
1: I put buttons in my layout ( you might be able to use the button tool but you have more control in whatever layout/design software you're using).
2: Inserted the sound clip, and used link tool ('tools'>'advanced editing'; 'link tool') to make invisible box over my 'play' button in layout, and, and set set an action to play media (an option under 'action'>'execute a menu item').3. Used the button tool -- this was the confusing bit, as you can't seem to do it with link tool -- to put invisible button over my 'stop' button.
4: In the 'button properties' pop up, you have to go to 'actions'> 'execute a menu item' > 'play media' for same sound file, then click back on dialogue box, select 'play media...', and click edit -- now you get a new pop-up and there's a drop down called 'operation to perform' -- select "stop".Phew, done it...
Let me know if it works
