Problem playing embedded video in Acrobat 8

We recently began using Acrobat 8 in the office. A client requested some mpg's be embedded into a pdf. Sounds simple and straight forward, but the video will not show or play in the pdf. Here are the details. All the video is in .mpg format and the default media player is Windows Media. I go through the steps of embedding the video. First I get a message saying no poster for the media could be created because the operation is not supported for this type, so it automatically chooses no poster. The video does embed into the pdf. When it is clicked to play the video turns a greay color for a couple of second and reverts back to white.

I can play video when I select a different action, say to open a separate file. But the client wants the video embedded with Acrobat. Is this a file issue as opposed to an Acrobat settings issue? Anyone have any suggestions?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 8.0, Windows

I am pretty sure that you need to have Quicktime installed to see video in Acrobat 8. Try downloading it and then have a look.

Installed Quicktime. I'm getting the same results. The video section turns gray for a few seconds and turns back to white. Video doesn't show at all.

Now I'm also having problems even embedding the video. I get message saying the path is incorrect after I select a file. The media files are located on an S drive and when I try to perform the same act with another computer it does embed with no problem. Any thoughts?
