Quality of FLV movies in PDF not as good

When I try creating a document that has an .flv in it via Word 2007 (using the "acrobat" menu group) it seems as if the .flv file gets resized in some way. In the process the quality degrades tremendously.

If I just play the original .flv file in a player it looks great.

I'm trying to create video "how-to" training, and this workflow would be ideal, but not if I can't keep the quality. I feel like I must just be missing a setting or something, but I cannot figure it out.

Any suggestions? thanks, and apologies if this is a misplaced question for this forum.

Is the video H.264 encoded?

More information please, when I insert an FLV into a MS 2007 Word document using the Acrobat plugin and then convert to PDF my FLV is the original size and resolution, it looks the same as if I play it in Adobe Media Player. What are your steps? Details on your FLV?
