I am trying to hide some information in a pdf that was sent to me so that others aren't able to view the hidden text. Tried inserting blank text boxes, but not sure how to lock the boxes so text under cannot be seen by others. Using Acrobat 8 Profession, version 8.2.2.

Acrobat Pro 8.0, Windows

The redaction tool is the only safe way to do it.
Be aware that when you apply it, the information is gone forever and can't be restored, so make sure you have a copy of the original file for your own use.
