Credit Card Information

I make fillable forms from time to time for our web site. Sometimes, we need the purchaser to record their credit card information on the form. If I am using an email button for them to email the entire form back to us, is this information secure or can it be stolen in email process.

If it is not secure by itself, is there a way to make the form secure?
