How to UNBLOCK a URL

I have the same problem as another user asked as per below, but using Acrobat 7.0 instead of Acrobat Reader 7.0.

I'm running Windoze XP SP2 with Firefox as my default browser. If I searcht the firefox cookies after accidentally blocking a site in Acrobat, there's no cookie pertaining to that site. So I'm thinking the block info is in a file associated with Acrobat, but I have yet to find such a file.

Q: When clicking links in a PDF doc (7.0 Reader), a Security Warning dialog is displayed. It prompts me to allow the Reader to open the link or block it. It's got a checkmark to remember the URL. I accidentally selected to block a link and I also checked remember this next time. It's a site I need to go to a lot in my PDF links. I don't know how to UNDO this action to allow the Reader to open the URL in the future. Does anyone know how I can undo this or what file I can edit to remove the blocked URL from the list???

A:It would help if you tell us what OS and Web browser you're using.

Open your browser preferences and look for the Security settings. If you have an option to Show Cookies, open the list of Cookies and you should see options for removing the URL you have blocked. If you see it, delete the item from the list.

The next time you navigate to the URL you should again be prompted to Allow or Deny.

See if this works. If not, get back to u7s again and let us know what OS and Browser you're using.

Hi attobuoy,

This excerpt is taken from the following technical note:
http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=332647&sliceId=1To allow or block specific URLs or change the behaviour of any URLs in your trust list, edit your Trust Manager preferences.

1. Choose Edit > Preferences.2. Under Categories, Select Trust Manager.

3. Under Resource Access, Select "Change Site Settings".

4. Do one of the following:

-- Enter the URL of a site and click Allow.

-- Enter the URL of a site and click Block.

-- Select a URL in the Site list and choose Remove.

You can set the default behavior for URL access to Always Allow, Always Deny or Use Trust List. If you select Trust List, then you can change Default Behavior for Other Sites by choosing Always Prompt, Always Allow or Always Deny from the dropdown menu.

Hope this helps,
Lori
