Good morning/afternoon/evening, all,
Acrobat 8 Pro/WinXP
I was digging around the forums, but couldn't find an answer to my particular question. Apologies if it's been tackled previously.
Once a year I'm tasked with preparing PDF packages for third-party review. I watermark the PDFs, add an EULA script to each PDF in the package, and add Password Security to prevent printing, extraction, etc.
My process has been to secure each PDF in the package, cover sheet first, one by one, but this process is extremely time consuming, especially considering there are upwards of 30 PDFs in each package.
Is there a way to apply the security settings to the package and all constituent PDFs en masse? I've tried selecting all PDFs and following the same process as I do for the individual files, but it doesn't seem to apply the settings across the whole.
I've adjusted compatibility on my security settings to various versions, thinking it may simply be an issue of functionality not translating to versions earlier than 7.0, but I've seen the same in each case.
So, I guess that's it. Any help would be most appreciated!
Thanks,
Chris
No you cannot apply security to all files in a Package at once, but what you could do is apply security to all the individual files using a Batch Process, then compile all those files into a Package. So secure first, then create the Package.
Hope this helps,
Dimitri
