removing signature

I have a digital signature in Acrobat 8 Professional, but I cannot remember the password entered in for it. How can I delete this signature and install a new one (cannot delete without the password)?

Are you referring to a Digital ID or an actual digital signature field within a document?

If the signature field disallows signature removal by recipients, the only way to remove your signature is to prove you are the signer. If you cannot do that (by remembering the password to your digital ID file), you cannot remove the signature. If you could, the method could be used by any one to remove any signature.
