Acrobat Pro is not letting me sign anymore on any PDF. I have tried redoing my digital signature, I have uninstalled 7.01pro and installed 8.1.0 and still get the same error message. Please help!

Sounds like something has gone wrong with your certificate. That is why updating Acrobat does not help. If it is installed in MS CAPI, check that the install is okay and permissions allow signing. If not, you may need to re-install the certificate into Acrobat from the Advanced > Security Settings menu item. Look at Digital Ids. You can find MS CAPI certificates from Internet Explorer at (roughly) Tools > Internet Options > Content > Certificates.

I'm experiencing the same issue after the latest Acrobat update. I cannot seem to fix it regardless of what I do.

Had a user with this error and searched for info. Saw your posts. I have found a solution for you!

Go to Advanced>Security Settings. Click on Digital IDs in the left menu. Examine the Intended Usage and select the certificate that includes Sign transaction, Sign document, and Client Authorization. Go to Usage Options and select Use for Signing. Then go back to the document and click Sign, but select Certify with Visible Signature. This should sign the document.
