Using timestamp service via HTTPS

Hi Everyone!

I have a local timestamp service. I can use the service to timestamp signed PDF document by Acrobat Pro 9.0. However, it seems that Acrobat does not accept HTTPS, because I configured my TSP service to use HTTPS. And Acrobat failed to get the responses. The HTTPS does not need client certificate, just server certificate only.

Thanks in advance!

Is the SSL certificate in the trusted root in the windows store? To do this:

1-Launch IE-
2-Tools->Internet Options->Contents
3-Click on Certificates
4-Select 'Trusted Root Authorities' tab
5- Click 'Import' and browse to and select the Root CA of the SSL cert

Is the server accessible via HTTPS in the browser? Is Acrobat displaying any errors?

Hi Ikassuba,

It is quite strange. Everything is local.
- CA: Microsoft Certificate Service
- IIS: Windows Server 2003, SSL Server Certificate is issued by Local CA
- Local CA certificate was also trusted by Acrobat.
- TSP: Local
- Acrobat Pro 9: Local, and work well: signing, time-stamping (with local TSP via HTTP)

Any idea?

Thank you

Is Acrobat displaying any errors? After signing, Acrobat shows a dialog to wait for timestamp response. In the "Chain View" tab of the following window, there was an error message: "SSL Certificate Error"
