How to convert PDF files from web pages or paper documents using Acrobat XI

Steve Gottwals – September 7, 2012

When you distribute documents you've worked hard to create, you want to know that the files will look professional and that the content and formatting will look exactly like you expect. With Acrobat XI you can quickly turn your document into a reliable PDF file that anyone with the free Adobe Reader can view. Here I am with a blog post in my browser, and I want to click convert the web page to PDF. Notice all the formatting came over, even the links. But you can also create PDF's in other ways. For instance, I can create a PDF from the scanner. Or, I can pull in a file—for instance a TIFF. In Acrobat XI the content is now editable, and I can reuse it. Any document I can print, I can turn into a PDF. For instance I can be in a simple notepad application and click file...print. Choose the Adobe PDF printer. Say print. And go ahead and save the document. With Acrobat XI you can share professional looking, high quality documents that look exactly as you intended.
