In reviewing the Help documentation (first link provided), I notice the following statement:

“Directory servers are commonly used as centralized repositories of identities within an organization. The server acts as an ideal location to store user certificates in enterprises that use certificate encryption.”

I should also point out that, from what I understand, we will not really be encouraging our users to go for a “wet” signature (something that approximates their written signature), but, instead, pushing them to simply use text, with our logo behind.

What is not clear to me is whether SignatureLogo.pdf *must* forcibly reside on each employee’s/user’s computer, or whether we, as an organization, can store one such file in an easily accessible location on a shared network drive (to ensure consistency of, and control over, our brand).

Is such a thing possible? Do you have additional information about this?

A nice tutorial, Joel. Thank you for sharing your expertise.

My question concerns customizing the appearance of digital signatures.

In several examples I’ve seen of digital signatures, including those in your brilliant tutorial, the stylized Adobe “triangle” appears as a watermark. My organization would like employees’ digital signatures to feature our company logo as the watermark.

How can this be accomplished, and are there any limitations on:

- opacity
- image type (vector versus raster)
- filesize
- maximum image dimensions
- colour space (CMYK versus RGB)

My present role involves redesigning a large number of our internal paper forms in LiveCycle Designer ES2.

If you can direct me to some step-by-step, how-to documentation that explains how we can accomplish this, I would greatly appreciate it.
