A student question

I have been asked two questions by members in an Acrobat 8 class:

One individual wanted to know if it was possible to make a drop-down list with multi-lline answers; and,

someone else asked if it would be possible to include bolded or italicized text in a paragraph answer.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I will guess you are talking about form fields.

>One individual wanted to know if it was possible to make a drop-down list with multi-lline answers; and,Not possible in the combo list, drop down list, the "app.popUpMenu()", or the "app.popUpMenuExec()" methods. Multi line buttons were not available until versi0on 6.

>someone else asked if it would be possible to include bolded or italicized text in a paragraph answer. One would need a multiline field and have the "Rich Text" opiton selected so the use could use the "Properies" tool bar to modify the selected text.

I figured that might be the case in terms of the multiline option. Thanks for pointime me to the Rich Text option. I will pass that along to the student.

In the Text Field properties under the Options tab select Multi-line and select Allow Rich Text Formatting. Then select the form field and bring up the Properties toolbar (Ctrl+e under Windows) you'll see many options under the More .. button.
